EMS Wins Rs 1.04 Billion Contract For Agra Water Scheme

EMS Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for an estimated Rs 1.04 billion infrastructure package under the Agra Water-Supply Re-organisation Scheme (Trans Yamuna Zones I and II), awarded by Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban). The twenty-four-month, design-and-build contract spans the full project cycle—from surveying and soil investigation to engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.

Scope includes an intake well-cum-pump house with approach bridge on the river, a 1 100-millimetre-diameter raw-water rising main linking the river intake to site, and a 55-million-litres-per-day water-treatment plant that will deploy advanced purification technologies. EMS confirmed the order is purely domestic with no related-party involvement and said further updates will follow as milestones are achieved.

The award strengthens the company’s North-Indian project portfolio; EMS shares closed 0.4 per cent higher on Friday, 20 June.
