The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, India's first high-speed rail corridor, has reached significant construction milestones with more than 300 km of viaduct completed and ongoing progress on trackbed works.

The National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL), the implementing agency for the project, reported that 304 km of viaduct and 388 km of pier work have been finished. Additionally, the construction of 14 river bridges, 7 steel bridges, and 5 prestressed concrete bridges has been completed.

Trackbed construction is advancing steadily, with 163 km completed so far. The Vapi bullet train station in Gujarat is approaching structural completion. Situated in Dungra village along the Vapi-Silvassa road, the station鈥檚 design embodies the theme of speed, which is reflected in its fa莽ade and interiors.

The station covers an area of 28,917 square meters and rises 22 meters in height. Rail and platform level slab casting, as well as structural steel erection, have been completed. Work on roof sheeting and electrical installations is currently underway.

The station鈥檚 approach viaduct towards Ahmedabad is finished, while work towards Mumbai is ongoing. Planned passenger amenities include a business class lounge, nursery, lifts, and escalators to enhance comfort.

The station is strategically located to ensure strong regional connectivity, being 7 km from Vapi Railway Junction, 7.5 km from the city bus stop, and 5 km from the Vapi GIDC industrial zone.
