Cement companies post good Q4 earnings

Better functional effectiveness and operating leverage have helped cement firms perform well despite rise in diesel and petcoke prices. Cement companies recorded strong sales, EBITDA and PAT as better prices contributed to a higher realisation in eastern and central India. Dalmia Cement, UltraTech, India Cement, Shree Cement, Ramco Cement, ACC and Birla Corporation reportedly revealed positive results in their fourth quarter earnings. A 2 per cent rise on realisations quarter-on-quarter was witnessed by top cement firms.
