Shree Digvijay Cement Company Ltd was established in 1942 at Sikka-Jamnagar. It is the flagship company of Votorantim. With a fully computer controlled plant, it has a production capacity of 1.30 mtpa. Its wide range of products include special cements like oil well cement, sulphate resisting Portland cement and railway sleeper manufacturing cement, in addition to other varieties of ordinary Portland cement, etc. The company's brand 'Kamal Cement' has a significant presence in Gujarat with a market share of 10-11 per cent. Well connected by road, rail, air and sea, Shree Digvijay Cement has its own port which enables a national and global network. The port has also enhanced its popularity by exporting varieties of cement and cement clinker to countries such as the UAE, Somalia, Yemen, Bangladesh, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Philippines and other SAARC and African countries. The company's standalone revenue in 2012-2013 rose 14.83 per cent to Rs 383.22 crore while its net profit rose 208.04 per cent to Rs 29.11 crore from Rs 9.45 crore in the previous year.
