NORD Drivesystems has added MAXXDRIVE XD to its portfolio. The industrial gear unit offers a 35 per cent increase in centre distance and a 60 per cent reduction in drive weight due to optimal use of installation space. The parallel arrangement of the gear stages and the thus increased centre distance have been specially developed for the usual layout of lifting gear drives. With output torques of up to 282,000 Nm, they are ideal for demanding applications in lifting equipment, belt conveyors and bucket elevators.
