Adhunik starts manganese ore mining

Orissa Manganese and Minerals Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Adhunik Metaliks, has commenced mining operations in non forest area of three of its manganese ore mines located at Tentulidihi, Sanpatholi and Kusunidihi. Adhunik ventured into merchant mining after acquisition of OMML in 2007. The Central Empowered Committee has recently approved the mining operations in Suleipat iron ore mines over non-forest area of about 370 acre. The company also paid the NPV of Rs 26 crore. It is now awaiting the government approval for commencement of mining.
