Gas supply to be shifted between plants

Union Oil Ministry allowed Delhi to divert natural gas supply from one power plant to another depending on the requirement a move that may raise power generation by upto 60 MW. Delhi became the first state to get an approval for this. The state government will now divert gas allocated for Pragati plant to the newly-constructed Bawana plant as it is about 25 per cent more efficient.

Screen doors for Delhi Metro stations Six crowded stations on the Metro's Yellow Line (HUDA City Centre to Jahangirpuri) will soon get platform screen doors to prevent accidents. Such doors will be installed later on the Blue Line as well. The Yellow Line carries more than 8 lakh passengers daily while the Blue Line also crossed this mark recently. New lines in Phase-III of the Metro network (Mukundpur to Shiv Vihar, and Janakpuri-West to Botanical Garden) will have screen doors at all stations.
