Hindustan Oil Exploration resumes oil production

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company has announced that oil production from the D-1 well in its B-80 field, located in western offshore, has resumed following the arrest of a leak in the SCSSV control line. Due to the aforementioned issue, well D1 was shut down and is now being brought back online after the pumping of a sealant and the opening of the SCSSV isolation valve on the subsea tree.

Both wells are currently producing, and the flow rates of oil and gas from both D1 and D2 wells are approximately 1800 BOPD and approximately 9 MMSCFPD of gas, which is less than the capacity of the wells.

Because the High-Pressure Separator is being repaired, production is being limited due to capacity limitations of the test separator through which the fluids are now flowing. The High-Pressure Separator is being built under the supervision of Expro, the supplier as well as the O&M contractor. Once the High-Pressure Separator is operational, the wells' output will be increased to their full capacity.
