L&T Secures Largest-Ever Offshore Contract from QatarEnergy LNG

Larsen & Toubro’s Hydrocarbon Business, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), has won its biggest-ever contract from QatarEnergy LNG for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4). This Ultra Mega Offshore Contract marks a major milestone for L&T in the global LNG sector.

The contract involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes, featuring large platforms with compression and power generation facilities, living quarters, flare platforms, interconnected bridges, and other related structures. These will be located about 80 kilometers off Qatar’s northeast coast.

According to Axis Capital, the project is part of QatarEnergy's plan to expand LNG production capacity from 70 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 126 MTPA. L&T has already disclosed approximately Rs 350 billion in core orders for Q4FY25. The company reported strong Q3FY25 results, with a notable core order inflow and 20% core revenue growth. Looking ahead, L&T's FY26 prospect pipeline is expected to indicate an 8%-10% growth.
