L&T secures Rs 70 bn Onshore Project in Middle East

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) announced that its energy hydrocarbon division has secured a Letter of Intent for an onshore project valued at over Rs 70 billion from a Middle Eastern client.

Under this project, L&T will undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction of Gas Compression Plants, which include gas inlet facilities, a gas compression system, and produced water handling, among other components. Additionally, the company's Power Transmission & Distribution division will establish three 230 kV Extra High Voltage substations to meet the power supply needs of these plants.

L&T Chairman & Managing Director, S N Subrahmanyan, expressed their pride in winning such a significant contract, emphasising the company's ability to perform efficiently and meet deadlines. He highlighted the immense trust the client has placed in L&T to handle complex projects.

L&T Constructions' Energy Hydrocarbon division specialises in providing comprehensive design-to-build solutions in the hydrocarbon sector for both domestic and international clients. Their services span offshore and onshore projects, construction services, modular fabrication, and the Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT) verticals.
