Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), prominent electronics industry in Rajasthan, has floated a tender for 40,000 aluminium channels and aluminium corner keys for solar modules with 72 cells of 300 W. From the total 40,000 aluminium channels, 20,000 should be 997 mm and 1,972 mm, respectively. The deadline to submit the bids is 11 January 2022, and the competitive bids will be opened on 12 January. According to the tender, the aluminium channels should be natural matt white anodized thickness over 15 microns. Aluminium corner keys should be mill finished. For participating in the bidding, the bidders must be approved by REIL. The company will consider new vendors for the development project, subject to completion of the vendor registration process, sample approval, compliance with techno-commercial conditions. REIL said that 25% of the tendered quantity is earmarked for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). From 25%, 20% has been allocated for procurement from MSMEs owned by Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs. The winning bidder will supply aluminium channels and corner keys in 500 or 1,000 sets. A test report and the qualification certificate must accompany all consignments from the product manufacturer. The rate contact period of the tender is till June 2022. If the bidder fails to deliver the products at the specified time, liquidated damages at 1% of the value of the item weekly and a maximum of 10% of the price of each unit delayed.
