Digital technology and engineering company ABB has introduced a new manufacturing line of low voltage motors at its Faridabad factory.
The expansion will increase plant capacity by more than 20% while also bolstering the position of ABB in the region and globally.
The company claims that its Faridabad facility has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable practices by using renewable energy and increasing energy efficiency throughout the facility.
Customers in industries such as -- food and beverage, water and wastewater, cement, metals and mining, HVAC, textiles, rubber, and others will benefit from the new line, which will develop energy-efficient motors up to 55 kW.
According to Sanjeev Arora, President of the company, this expansion is in support of the Make in India initiative.
In addition to meeting the rising demands of the domestic market, the new line will help improve exports to other important regions such as the Middle East and Africa, he said.
Arora asserts that the manufacturing facilities of the company will continue to produce reliable and energy-efficient motors of world-class quality.
Since pumps, fans, and compressors use up to 75% of industrial motors, using energy-efficient motors is critical to lowering energy consumption.
ABB manufactures high-efficiency motors in India that meet the IE4 standard, which stipulates energy losses that are 15% lower than those delivered by IE3 motors.
