NTPC stations across India contribute to fight against Covid-19

Energy major National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has offered its support in the fight against the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

All the projects and stations of WR-II are actively consolidating with their respective district administration to provide support in the fight against the second wave of Covid-19.

After the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 and during the subsequent lockdown, power sector personnel did their best to ensure continuous flow of the power generation in the national grid and helped in keeping the homes stay lit up during these difficult times. Because of their efforts all the emergency services continued without any interruptions.

NTPC Sipat will be providing financial aid to the district administration for setting up Covid Care Centre at Masturi. They will also be providing financial assistance to the district administration for procuring PPE kits and ventilators.

NTPC's Korba station has come forward to provide CT scan machines for District Covid Hospital at Korba to help in the fight against Covid. They have also been assisting in regularly carrying out sanitisation in nearby villages.

The stated-owned company's Khargone station has come forward to provide oxygen central line work for 20 beds in government civil hospital Sanawad.

NTPC Lara has also extended their hand to help in providing financial assistance to the collector, Raigarh, for the purchase of ventilators in the view of SARS COV-2.

Besides, masks, hand gloves, sanitisers, thermometers, head covers, PPE Kits are being distributed by all the stations of NTPC in the Western Region.
