Punjab Issues Tender for 8 MW Solar Power Projects

Punjab Genco, a subsidiary of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), has issued a tender for the design, manufacturing, supply, erection, and testing of two solar power projects, each with a capacity of 4 MW, in Bathinda District.

The scope of work also includes operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of five years. The deadline for bid submissions is December 18, 2024, with bids to be opened on December 19, 2024. Bidders are required to submit a tender fee of Rs 10,000. Additionally, a bid earnest money deposit of Rs 1 million ($11,822) is to be paid via e-banking or e-payment, and Rs 3 million ($35,466) is required as a bank guarantee for each 4 MW project.

The O&M services will involve supplying and storing all mandatory spare parts and consumables, as well as performing repairs or replacements of any defective equipment.

Bidders must install a minimum of 5 MW DC capacity at the project site, with the option to provide additional DC capacity above 5 MW to account for site-specific losses and ensure guaranteed generation.
