RECPDCL transfers WRNES Talegaon SPV to Adani Energy Solutions

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC under the Ministry of Power, has handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission to Adani Energy Solutions.
The handover took place on 30th May 2025. The project, awarded through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, carries an estimated cost of Rs 18.07 billion and will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
Adani Energy Solutions Limited emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) following the bidding process conducted by RECPDCL, which acted as the Bid Process Coordinator for this Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project.
The SPV was officially handed over by T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL, to Sanjay Arvind Johri, Vice President (BD), Adani Energy Solutions Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, Adani, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
The project has an implementation deadline of 1st January 2028.
The scope of the scheme includes the establishment of a 765/400 kV (2x1500 MVA) substation near South of Kalamb, along with LILO of approximately 89.18 km of the 765 kV Pune-III to Boisar-II line and other associated works.
