Waaree Solar Americas Secures 599 MW Module Order in US

Waaree Solar Americas, the US subsidiary of India’s Waaree Energies, has secured a 599 megawatt (MW) solar module supply contract from a US-based independent power producer. The modules will be produced at the company's Brookshire facility in Texas and are scheduled for delivery in 2026.

This agreement brings Waaree’s total new orders to over 1.2 gigawatts (GW) in the first quarter of fiscal year 202526. The surge in demand is attributed to the expansion of AI data centers, infrastructure upgrades, and increased industrial electrification across the US.

To support this growing demand, Waaree is expanding its Brookshire plant by adding a new 1.6 GW manufacturing line, which is expected to boost its total US production capacity to 3.2 GW by the end of 2025.

Waaree Energies, India’s largest solar PV module manufacturer, continues to strengthen its presence in international markets, particularly the US, amid increasing domestic content requirements and a broader shift toward clean energy infrastructure.
