Duravit India converts one more rural school into a smart school in Gujarat.Duravit India, Ahmedabad 鈥� the wholly-owned subsidiary of Duravit AG, Germany 鈥� has launched the Smart Class Programme, a CSR initiative to drive overall educational development in Madhavlal Shah UB Vidhyalay, At & Po Valli (Kanewal). It has associated with NGO YUVA Unstoppable for the programme.Benefits of the programme Says Asutosh Shah, Managing Director, Duravit India, 鈥淭he programme will benefit the underprivileged children. This is the second school we have converted in the last two years and we wish to do 100 such schools.鈥漈he programme uses K-Yan technology that incorporates the features of computer-based learning into a high-resolution, high-luminosity portable projector, along with internet connectivity and multimedia content. Actions undertakenActions undertaken by Duravit India under this initiative include: Renovated five classes with entire new roof; constructed new toilet block for boys and girls; developed smart classes with K-Yan technology; developed new drinking water facility; created 2,000 sq ft pathway with pavor blocks; created new and positive environment to encourage students; reactivated computer lab; provided tutor for a year to train teaching staff as well as students.(Communication by the management of the company)
