The roadmap to India’s infrastructure growth is exciting and futuristic, and it will not be an exaggeration to say that the New Year will be a promising one for most of the companies in this segment. One of the leading companies J. kumar Infraprojects Ltd. has over the years earned their clients trust and this has, in turn, motivated their teams to create an infrastructure ecosystem, where quality and excellence has become their trademark. Fostering innovation They have a track record of professionally completing 50 plus projects, which displays their operation efficiency and capability to undertake large and complex projects. “The company’s ability to undertake complex projects, its timely completion and delivering quality to the satisfaction of the client is what we take pride in. informs Dr. Nalin Gupta, MD, J. Kumar Infraprojects. Driving efficiency at work Spearheaded by Dr. Nalin Gupta, the company has completed Metro station of Line 2A (Mumbai Metro) in record time by launching 285 precast elements for three-tier D N Nagar station in just 100 days which is itself a record of sorts. For the first time in India, they have used Straddle Carrier of capacity 200 Ton for the erection of metro viaduct precast elements in Line 09. This machine will give technological advantages for easily completion of projects. “We were the first to adopt a unique method of constructing a station with full precast concept i.e, entire super structure at concourse and platform level being executed with various types of precast elements and launched. This method is now well accepted all across India, and has set a new benchmark in the Infrastructure Industry. informs Dr. Nalin Gupta. Another landmark achievement is the completion of two iconic structures: Kalwa Creek Bridge of 100 m Basket handle span and 100 m Structural steel Metro span over the railway, this is one-of-its kind amongst busy urban cities. Within four decades of existence, they have developed a niche in the field of Urban Infrastructure. They are the trusted names amongst a few EPC organisations qualified to undertake large Metro and High-Speed Rail Projects. With an established presence in Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, they are expanding in other parts of the country. Currently, they are executing multiple metro projects, both elevated and underground. Nearly 70 per cent of the Metro network within Mumbai is been executed by them namely Line 2A (Dahisar-E to D N Nagar on link road), Line 2B (D N Nagar to ILFS BKC, Line 3 package 5 (Dharavi to Santacruz), Line 3 package 6 (Santacruz to SEEPZ), Line 4A (Kasarvadavali to Gaimukh), Line 6 package BC01(IIT Powai to Vikroli - EEH), Line 6 package BC03 (Swami Samarth Nagar to Shyam Nagar on JVLR), Line 7 & 7A ( International Airport to Magathane), Line 9 (Dahisar to Mira Bhayander) thereby covering almost length and breadth of Mumbai. These packages include Viaduct portions, Stations civil and finishing works and also civil, finishing and MEP works for underground Metro Line 3. Few of the projects like line 2A and line 7 are nearing completion and handover stage beside metro in other cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune and Delhi. They own a large fleet of plants and machinery including Tunnel Boring Machines, Hydraulic Piling Rigs, and Straddle Carriers (first in India). “As a technology-focused company we continuously invest in cutting-edge technologies to enhance our service offerings, says Dr. Nalin Gupta.
