A business unit of the Maas Group, Jacon Equipment has announced its distribution agreement with Voltas Limited for the sales, service and support of Jacon鈥檚 product lines in India.
CEO of Maas Group, Wes Maas, said that the distribution through Voltas Limited鈥檚 Mining and Construction Equipment (M&CE) Divisions represents a significant opportunity to expand its offering in the international market.
He said that Voltas Limited has an excellent reputation and wide-scale footprint in mining, tunnelling and construction across the Indian market.
The range of products and services available through Voltas Limited鈥檚 Mining and Construction Equipment Divisions makes an ideal fit with Jacon's product offerings.
He added that the synergies between our two companies to support products and parts show a strong alignment with market demands.
Vice President of Voltas M&CE Division, Sharad Thussu, said the agreement for the M&CE Divisions to take on Jacon for the Indian market was a significant expansion strategy in its underground mining, construction and tunnelling offerings.
He said that Jacon product lines are highly complementary to existing product lines of M&CE and provide opportunities to expand into the underground mining and construction sectors.
Jacon has designed and manufactured products that are easy to maintain and repair and offer lower operating costs than other manufacturers, which will be attractive to the Indian market.
Business Head of Mining at Voltas, Ranjit Ravindran, said that Jacon products in India will be backed by Voltas's state-of-the-art heavy repair shops and satellite warehouses at mines across the country and would employ highly skilled service technicians to provide overall service and support.
