Zoomlion begins Phase II of German factory project

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology has initiated Phase II of its German factory project in Waldlaubersheim, investing over 50 million to expand the Wilbert TowerCranes GmbH facility. Spanning 60,000 square metres, the upgraded unit will produce tower cranes, truck cranes, and concrete machinery, aiming to deliver over 1,000 units annually and generate around USD 300 million in output once fully operational.

The move aligns with Zoomlion’s vision to establish a central hub in Europe and strengthen its global supply chain, R&D, and service network. The new facility will boost collaboration with local suppliers and contribute to regional economic growth. The company has so far acquired multiple European firms including CIFA (Italy), Wilbert (Germany), and Powermole (UK) to expand its overseas footprint.

Chairman and CEO Zhan Chunxin stated that Zoomlion will fast-track the project as per plan and aims for early commissioning, supporting local industrial growth. The company now operates 11 overseas production bases and sells in over 170 countries, with 400 branches and 210 service centres globally.
