CIDCO housing scheme: Allotment to begin from July 1

The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), a state entity, announced on Friday that it would begin the allotment of houses under its 2018-19 housing scheme from 1 July.

CIDCO told the media that under its scheme, 25,000 houses in different regions like Taloja, Dronagiri, Kalamboli, Ghansoli, and Kharghar have been built as a part of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme. Additionally, the allotment of the housing scheme would be finished by October.

In August 2018, CIDCO, the town planning and development agency, had announced a scheme for apartments at affordable prices in the Navi Mumbai area. The buildings for people belonging to the economically weaker section (EWS) and low income group (LIG) categories were being developed at 11 locations across Kharghar, Kalamboli, Taloja, Dronagiri and Ghansoli.

According to the statement by CIDCO, applicants—who have paid the entire instalments—will get one month's time starting June 1 to pay the remaining miscellaneous charges, and then CIDCO will hand over the possession of the houses from July 1. In cases where instalments were unpaid, such applicants have been given an extension till July 31 to pay the remaining amount, said the release.
