ITC to open 10 new hotels in next three to four years

ITC in the process of opening 40 new hotels, taking its total rooms to 5,000. This will include both self-owned and managed hotels. This plan is a part of the group’s strategy to give the hospitality business a boost.

The group will reportedly open 10 new hotels in the coming three to four years, at a total investment of approximately Rs 25,000 crore. Keeping in mind ITC’s ‘India First� policy, nine out of the 10 hotels will be located within India itself, while the remaining will be in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In India, these hotels will be situated in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Srinagar; four will be part of the company’s WelcomHotels brand and situated at Guntur, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore.
