Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation demolishes 3 illegal constructions

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has demolished three illegal units, including one unit in the residential sector and two industrial units.

The municipal corporation has also sealed three commercial units due to no valid building use (BU) permission.

The demolished residential unit was in the Town Planning Scheme 204 in Bodakdev, and the two industrial units were in Thakkarbapanagar and Gomtipur.

The sealed unauthorised units are in Ahmedabad's Nikol area.The town planning department and real estate management team have to date demolished 4,78,633 sq feet of illegal constructions and sealed 3,259 commercial units and 379 residential units for no valid BU permission.

Last year in May, the civic body began a sealing drive in response to the High Court's judgement.
