In an open tender process, Anjani Logistics was awarded a four-acre plot at MIHAN, Nagpur for the construction of a housing and commercial complex according to a statement by Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC).
The Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN), according to the statement, has grown into information technology (IT), aviation, and agri-business hub, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.
Increased employment has necessitated the construction of residential and commercial complexes to meet the daily needs of MIHAN residents.
Mahindra, Moraj, and NITPL have all developed residential projects within MIHAN, according to the report. HCL Technologies has also purchased about 20 acres of land at MIHAN for staff housing. As a result, approximately 5,000 to 7,000 houses are expected to be available in the near future.
Due to the influx of industries and anticipated new employment at MIHAN, demand for residential and commercial complexes is expected to rise.
In light of all of these factors, MADC's VC and MD, Deepak Kapoor, has directed that a tender be issued for the construction of a modern housing and commercial complex on approximately 4 acres of land in Sector 22. Anjani Logistics was awarded the plot after submitting the highest bid in the tender process.
Kapoor told the media that the MIHAN employees will benefit from this project. People from Nagpur city and surrounding areas are also expected to visit the proposed malls and shops in this area due to its proximity to the Nagpur Metro station Khapri.
