APCRDA Approves Rs 17.32 Bn for Govt Housing in Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has approved tenders worth Rs 17.32 billion for residential towers and infrastructure works in Amaravati鈥檚 core capital area. The decision came during the forty-seventh CRDA meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

According to Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana, key approvals include Rs 5.14 billion for completing towers for gazetted officers initiated between 2014 and 2019, Rs 1.94 billion for external infrastructure works, Rs 5.07 billion for nine towers for non-gazetted employees, and Rs 5.17 billion for building twelve more towers with supporting amenities.

In addition, Rs 5.61 billion was sanctioned for a 190 million-litre-per-day water treatment plant, including five years of operations and maintenance. Another Rs 4.95 billion was approved for overhead water tanks.

For roads, CRDA cleared tenders for a 1.5 km elevated road on the E-3 Seed Axis, along with Rs 3.85 billion for extensions to the E-13 and E-15 roads, all linking to the national highway.

Land allotments were finalised for seven institutions, including 55 acres for a law university, 50 acres for Quantum Valley, and smaller plots for the Income Tax Department, Indian Red Cross Society, IRCTC Hotels, and others.
