GNIDA launches Rs 800 cr scheme to offer plots to investors

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has commissioned a scheme to allot industrial plots to investors.

A senior official told the media the land allocation would be done through interview or draw in the first week of November based on the applications received till October 31. With these allocations, the Authority is likely to rake in around Rs 800 crore and render job opportunities to about 3,000 people.

Greater Noida CEO Narendra Bhushan told the media that industrial plots would be provided in the Authority’s Ecotech-8, Ecotech-6, Ecotech-One, Ecotech-10, Extension One, Ecotech-11 and 16 sectors. Green category enterprises that are non-polluting can be installed on these plots, varying from 450 sq m to 20 acre.

GNIDA has decided to install eight new industrial sectors to satisfy investors demands. To promote this, the process of acquiring about 900 hectares of land has started. In 2020, plots varying from 1,000 sq m to 20 acre were rendered to 48 investors, Bhushan said.

In the last 4.5 years, 391 investors from across the nation and overseas have acquired land under the Greater Noida Authority to establish factories. These projects have attracted investments of around Rs 26,530 crore. These involve Chinese firms like Oppo and Vivo, the Hiranandani Group and Inox Air.
