MPIDC plans smart industrial township in Pithampur

The MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is embarking on the establishment of a smart industrial residential township in Pithampur sector-7. This initiative involves acquiring over 2,200 hectares across 12 villages in the Indore district.

MPIDC's three-phase scheme for Pithampur's sector-7 will cover a total of 2,232 hectares. The process to acquire 1,268 hectares of private land has commenced, with the remainder being government and forest land, for which possession is being pursued.

Compensation totalling around Rs 800 million has been disbursed for approximately 400 hectares of private land acquisition. Landowners will also receive plots worth Rs 3 billion based on their eligibility.

Anticipated to be completed within two to three years, the township allocates around 800 hectares for industrial setup. The rest of the plotted area will be utilised for residential development, including apartments by private firms to accommodate labourers and other personnel.

Encompassing 12 villages near Betma tehsil in the Indore district, this industrial residential township will offer modern amenities catering to both industrial requirements and resident needs. The project aspires to serve as a model for other industrial areas to emulate.
