PMAY-G: 4.10 lakh houses yet to be built in Rajasthan

Out of the total target of 17.33 lakh houses allocated in the year 2016-17 under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), about 4.18 lakh houses are yet to be constructed in Rajasthan.

From the year 2019-20 to 2022-23 (July 14), a central share of Rs 6,013.83 has been spent under the scheme in the state. So far, 13.15 lakh houses have been constructed in the state. According to the reply, 1.66 lakh houses were built in the state in 2019-20, 3.15 lakh in 2020-21, 1.41 lakh in 2021-22 and 47,495 in 2022-23.

The central assistance under PMAY-G is released to the state on the basis of balance targets, liabilities and unspent balance available. These funds are released directly to the state/UT considering the state/UT as a unit. Further release of these funds to beneficiaries in various districts is done by the respective state/UT governments.
