BonV Aero, a deep-tech firm, will deploy drones capable of carrying up to 25 kg at Girnar Hill in Gujarat. These drones will perform multiple sorties to support temple authorities, vendors, and pilgrims by improving supply chain logistics and waste disposal.
Girnar Hill, standing at 3,660 feet, is home to prominent temples such as the Jain Temple Complex, Mata Rani Temple, the Dargah of Saint Gorakhnath, Kalika Temple, and Guru Dattatreya Temple. Despite the Girnar Ropeway, transporting supplies and managing waste remain challenges due to the site鈥檚 elevation and high visitor footfall.
Currently, porters manually carry food, temple supplies, and other necessities up thousands of steps. Waste collection also lacks a structured system. BonV Aero鈥檚 drones aim to streamline both processes by reducing reliance on manual labour and ensuring efficient transportation.
鈥淭hese drones are designed for locations where conventional transport is not an option,鈥 said Abinash Sahoo, Co-Founder & CTO, BonV Aero. 鈥淏y integrating aerial logistics, we aim to enhance supply chains and waste management at Girnar.鈥
Similar logistical challenges exist in remote and high-altitude locations across India, including Himalayan villages and disaster-hit areas. BonV Aero鈥檚 self-flying technology offers an adaptable solution for such terrains, ensuring better connectivity and access to essential goods.
鈥淲ith this initiative, we seek to strengthen logistics in difficult-to-reach locations,鈥 added Sahoo.
By deploying its drones at Girnar Hill, BonV Aero joins a growing list of firms leveraging drone technology to improve transportation and waste management in challenging terrains.
