Govt of Andhra Pradesh intends to establish three IT concept cities

Andhra Pradesh is making significant strides in developing its IT industry, with plans to create three IT Concept cities in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Anantapur. These cities were chosen for their existing technological presence, human capital availability, and proximity to user sectors. The goal is to attract both domestic and international IT/ITeS firms from a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, travel, insurance, and banking.

IT Concept Cities will provide the IT industry with faster execution and lower costs. Quick approvals will reduce the time required to begin operations, and seamless connectivity to airports and highways will be provided.

The availability of skilled manpower will be ensured, and world-class IT-driven common and social infrastructure will be provided, along with plug-and-play IT office space and co-working spaces. The state also has a cost structure trend of 20-25 per cent lower operating costs, with a 5 per cent average difference between challenger and aspirant cities.

AP's IT policy is forward-thinking, with provisions for employment incentives, power tariffs, transportation subsidies, work-from-home incentives, quality certification, and the development of a start-up ecosystem.
