Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal AP Singh emphasised the urgent need for rapid capability enhancements to address emerging security challenges in the evolving geo-strategic environment. Speaking to student officers from the Indian Armed Forces attending the 80th Staff Course at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, on March 11-12, 2025, he called for adaptive strategies to meet future threats. Air Chief Marshal Singh urged the officers to embrace change, critically assess evolving security dynamics, and develop flexible strategies for future conflicts. Highlighting the importance of jointmanship, he stressed the need for integrated training and operational synergy among the three Services to boost combat effectiveness. He also provided insights into the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) ongoing capability development efforts and the significance of unified operations in modern warfare. Acknowledging the resilience and commitment of IAF personnel, he underscored their role in safeguarding national interests. During his visit, the CAS was briefed on DSSC’s training initiatives focused on fostering inter-service coordination, essential for modern military preparedness.
