Assam CM Sarma dedicates and launches projects worth Rs 5.45 billion

At Rangia in the Kamrup district, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone for projects costing Rs 5.45 billion that are related to connectivity, healthcare, and higher education. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke at a press conference held at the BJP state office in Guwahati to mark the completion of eight years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP-led government at the centre. He reminded officials of his government's commitment to building a world-class infrastructure in the state and gave them instructions to make sure all projects are finished on schedule.

In a tweet, Sarma stated “As we observe 'A Day dedicated to Development', I inaugurated and laid the foundation for 23 projects worth Rs 5.45 billion at Rangia.� He further added, “I have directed officials to ensure timely execution so these initiatives bear the fruits of development and prosperity for people of Assam.�

Sarma said that he opened a four-lane link road that will connect Rangia to National Highway 31 as the day's first event. He declared that the government is committed to spending more than Rs 100 billion on Assam's infrastructure during the fiscal years 2023-2024.
