As Chhattisgarh prepares for upcoming assembly polls, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took a momentous step on Tuesday by virtually inaugurating and laying foundation stones for a remarkable 7,300 development projects valued at Rs 6,080 crore across 26 districts in the state. The auspicious occasion unfolded during a state-level function conducted at the Chief Minister's official residence in Raipur.
During the event, Chief Minister Baghel officially commenced 3,978 development ventures, with a combined worth of Rs 2,668 crore. These initiatives encompassed a wide array of development sectors, highlighting the commitment of the government to fostering growth and progress in Chhattisgarh. Additionally, he laid the foundation stones for another 3,322 projects, amounting to Rs 3,411 crore, aimed at further boosting the state's socio-economic development.
One standout project among these developments is the inauguration of Chhattisgarh's pioneering sugarcane-based ethanol plant. Established at a cost of Rs 141 crore, this groundbreaking venture was brought to fruition through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) collaboration between Bhoramdeo Shahkari Shakkar Karkhana Maryadit (BSSKM) and NKJ Biofuel Ltd. The ethanol plant is situated across a sprawling 35-acre expanse within the premises of BSSKM's sugar mill in the village of Ramhepur, Kabirdham district. Notably, this state-of-the-art facility boasts an impressive daily production capacity of 80 kilo litres, marking a significant stride towards sustainable and eco-friendly energy production within Chhattisgarh.
