Donaldson names Richard Lewis as new COO

Donaldson Company has appointed Richard Lewis as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 August 2025. In his expanded role, Lewis will oversee the company's three business segments, enterprise operations, supply chain, and corporate technology functions. He will continue reporting to Tod Carpenter, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.聽

鈥淩ich is an experienced leader with a track record of consistent operational success through a broad range of dynamic and challenging market conditions,鈥� said Carpenter. 鈥淒uring his 23 years with Donaldson, he has achieved a deep understanding of our global portfolio of businesses, end markets, and customers鈥� needs.鈥澛�

Lewis currently serves as President of Donaldson鈥檚 Life Sciences segment and will continue in that role until a successor is named. Over his two-decade tenure, he has held several leadership positions, including President of Mobile Solutions and Senior Vice President of Global Operations.聽

Commenting on his new role, Lewis said, 鈥淚 am honoured to step into the COO role and lead operations for the company鈥檚 diversified portfolio of businesses. I am eager to continue working with our strong leadership team to deliver our innovative solutions for customers around the globe and further our collective success.鈥澛�

Lewis holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in industrial engineering from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Indiana University.聽
