DPIIT and Kyndryl Join Forces to Propel India’s Manufacturing

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, has partnered with Kyndryl Solutions Pvt Ltd to supercharge innovation in India's startup ecosystem. Through this strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the collaboration will focus on scaling startups in the manufacturing and IT sectors, leveraging Kyndryl’s global expertise in digital transformation and Generative AI solutions.

Building an Innovation-Driven Startup Ecosystem Objective: Foster a robust innovation ecosystem by integrating startups with large-scale enterprise solutions. Focus Sectors: Manufacturing, IT, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, BFSI, Oil & Gas, and Government Services. Strategic Areas of Support: Mentorship on product development, market readiness, cybersecurity, and enterprise integration. Infrastructure support for scaling operations. Market access to connect startups with large business customers. Industry workshops to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. International expansion guidance for startups to explore global markets.

A Platform for Digital and AI-Driven Startups Kyndryl will launch dedicated programs to nurture: AI-driven innovators and digital product startups. Entrepreneurs seeking enterprise-scale deployment. Startups aiming to integrate AI and cloud solutions into their business models.

Kyndryl will work closely with Startup India and DPIIT to provide: Policy insights and government incentive awareness. Advisory sessions on scaling AI and digital solutions. Opportunities for startups to showcase innovations to global markets.

Strengthening India’s Position as a Global Innovation Hub The MoU was signed by Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and a representative from Kyndryl, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

Speaking on the collaboration, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Sanjiv, emphasised that this partnership is a significant step in creating an innovation-driven startup ecosystem. By combining DPIIT’s policy support with Kyndryl’s enterprise expertise, the initiative will empower Indian startups to scale, innovate, and drive technological advancements across industries.

This landmark partnership aligns with India’s vision of becoming a global leader in innovation, ensuring that startups receive the necessary resources, mentorship, and market access to thrive in the digital economy.
