Gateway Distriparks Net Profit Rockets Seven-Fold

Multimodal logistics operator Gateway Distriparks Ltd (GDL) reported a 606.2% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at Rs 4.55 billion for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024 over Rs 645 million in Q3 FY24. The profit after tax (PAT) included an exceptional income of Rs 3.9 million due to a fair valuation of equity on consolidation of Snowman Logistics Limited, which became a subsidiary on December 24, 2024. Revenue from operations increased 2.4% to Rs 4.02 million against Rs 3.91 million in the year-ago period. EBITDA dipped 5.9% to Rs 9.67 billion in the third quarter of this fiscal over Rs 1028 million in Q3 FY24. The EBITDA margin stood at 24% in the reporting quarter versus 26.2% YoY. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
