Gujarat govt signs 18 MoUs to boost investment

In accordance with the state government's "Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes for Help to Industry," which were unveiled last year to encourage fresh investment, the Gujarat government inked 18 memoranda of understanding (MoU) worth Rs 98.52 billion.

With these 18 agreements, different businesses have promised to invest Rs 98.52 billion in various regions of the state, creating 10,851 job possibilities.

In the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, these Memoranda of Understanding were signed.

According to the press release, businesses producing chemicals and agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and electric rickshaws had MoUs with the state government.

According to the press release, Garden Silk Mills' yarn and PET chips business in Surat's Palsana taluka would employ 1,450 people. This is just one of the significant investments pledged through MoUs.

Other significant investments include a facility by Asian Paints in Vadodara and one by Humanity Life Sciences Private Ltd in Dahej, both in the Bharuch district. By 2025, the majority of these plants would be up and running.
