Mastek (NSE: MASTEK; BSE: 523704), a leading digital engineering and cloud transformation partner, has successfully completed the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud for Air Niugini, Papua New Guinea’s national airline. The comprehensive rollout marks one of the most ambitious digital overhauls in the region’s aviation sector, significantly enhancing automation, operational agility, and data-driven decision-making.
Air Niugini, which operates both domestic and international routes, has undertaken this initiative to replace fragmented legacy systems and reduce its reliance on manual processes. Mastek served as strategic advisor and implementation partner to deliver a cloud-first digital infrastructure aligned with the airline’s long-term goals for operational excellence and sustainability.
The solution includes the deployment of Oracle Fusion Cloud modules covering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The implementation streamlines finance, procurement, HR, payroll, and inventory functions, enabling paperless workflows and significantly reducing manual errors.
Gary Seddon, CEO of Air Niugini, remarked, “This transformation improves our operational visibility and workforce management while supporting our sustainability objectives. It positions us to better serve our customers and operate more efficiently.
Mastek's solution also enabled real-time data flow between business units and third-party systems, fostering collaboration and improving reporting accuracy. The new digital ecosystem supports over 2,500 staff members, delivering a more agile and engaging workplace.
Commenting on the partnership, Umang Nahata, CEO of Mastek, said, “This engagement showcases our ability to drive complex cloud transformations. We are proud to support Air Niugini in creating a scalable foundation for growth and resilience.
The successful go-live reaffirms Mastek’s capabilities as a trusted Oracle partner in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in delivering transformative solutions for highly regulated and mission-critical industries such as aviation.
