Kinetic Invests Rs 50 million More

Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) has invested Rs 50 mn in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts Limited (KWVL), by subscribing to five mn equity shares at Rs 10 each, as per its recent filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange. This move raises KEL鈥檚 stake in KWVL from 61.63 per cent to 66.11 per cent, reinforcing its strategic ambitions in the automotive and mobility technologies space.

KWVL, incorporated in September 2022, has yet to generate revenue but is positioned to contribute to KEL鈥檚 future growth in the electric and advanced mobility domain. The investment, made in cash, is classified as a related party transaction executed at arm鈥檚 length, and does not require regulatory approvals.

KEL, founded in 1970 and based in Pune, has transitioned from two-wheeler manufacturing to producing transmission systems, engine components, and other critical automotive assemblies, operating from its facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Listed on the BSE, KEL continues to support expansion through such targeted investments in mobility-focused ventures like KWVL.
