Airport development to expand horizons

Lohegaon Airport authorities have sought 30 acre near the premises from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for the expansion of the airport including extending the parking facilities and building a terminus. The expansion plan also includes acquiring private land from the 100 m periphery of the existing airfield. During the initial phase, 16 acre owned by the IAF will be utilised to materialise expansion plans. In the next phase, the 30 acre of IOC will be acquired and developed.
