Haryana to Develop Industrial Cluster Near Hisar Airport

The Haryana Government will establish a major Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) near Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar. Covering around 3,000 acres, the project is estimated to cost Rs 46.8 billion and will be developed in two phases in partnership with the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).

The IMC is part of the broader Amritsar鈥揔olkata Industrial Corridor, which will see industrial townships in six cities across seven states. Hisar鈥檚 IMC will be the largest, according to discussions held in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The project is expected to attract Rs 320 billion in investments and generate over ten thousand jobs. It will include key infrastructure such as roads, a water treatment plant, and a solid waste management system. A Memorandum of Understanding will soon be signed between NICDC and the Haryana Government.

Out of 7,200 acres marked in Hisar, around 2,988 acres are earmarked for the IMC. Its proximity to the airport is expected to boost its attractiveness to investors.

Haryana is also developing a logistics hub in Nangal Chaudhary, covering 886 acres under the Delhi鈥揗umbai Industrial Corridor. The state government aims to develop ten Industrial Model Townships to support its Viksit Bharat and Viksit Haryana visions.
