Kerala PWD resumes road works in Kochi

The Kerala Public Works Department (PWD) has resumed resurfacing of roads in Kochi. PWD had abandoned the road patching works before the monsoon and now again it has taken up the work as the monsoon is coming to an end. Priority has been given to restoring roads within the city limits. Potholes on roads in the suburbs would be filled within a fortnight, said the PWD engineers.

As the PWD Minister VK Ebrahim Kunju has set a deadline of September 9 for the road resurfacing works, PWD has paced up the works to make all PWD roads in Ernakulam district motorable. On Edappally Toll Junction-Kangarapady Road and Kaloor-Pottakuzhi Curch Road in the city, potholes are being filled as part of the road works.
