Ashok Leyland plans to launch 3S dealership and expand in North-East

Ashok Leyland, the flagship of the Hinduja Group, announced on Tuesday that it would open ten outlets in the North-Eastern parts of the country to strengthen its presence and meet rising demand and that a dealership in Guwahati would be inaugurated as part of the exercise.

The Chennai-based heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer also delivered 33 fully built 4,825 trucks to the city's cement giant Dalmia Cements.

The dealership is located in Lokhra, Guwahati's transportation hub, and spans 1.15 lakh sq ft. According to a company statement, Ashok Leyland also has 10 upcoming outlets in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura to cater to the rising demand in North-East India.

The company said the delivery of 33 fully built 4,825 multi-axle 16 wheeler AVTR trucks to Dalmia Cements is a strong testimonial to Ashok Leyland's products and the trust its customers have in its performance in North-East India.

The Ashok Leyland AVTR range is a first in the Indian market, offering a wide range of axle configurations, loading spans, cabins, suspensions, and drivetrains for Rigid Trucks, Tippers, and Tractors in the 18.5 tonne to 55-tonne category on a single platform.

According to Ashok Leyland, it covers the major commercial hubs in the North East through nine 3S touchpoints, 13 service workshops, and six Workshops on Wheels for customer site service support. In Guwahati, a dedicated warehouse has been established to smoothly address the region's vehicle demand.
