Surinder Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister, reaffirmed the government's commitment to accelerating infrastructure development while ensuring environmental sustainability during his visit to various project sites today. As part of the visit, he laid the foundation stone for a road project from Santokh Vihar, along with allied links at Kunjwani. The initiative, undertaken by the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, aims to enhance connectivity for a significant portion of the local population. In addition to the road project, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Buffalo Farm under construction at Chatha. The facility, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 120.67 million, is scheduled for completion within two years. He conducted an on-site inspection to assess the pace of work and address any challenges affecting its smooth execution. A team from the Directorate of Inspections & Quality Control (DIQC) accompanied him, conducting an assessment of the materials used in the on-going construction. Focusing on environmental concerns, the Deputy Chief Minister also visited several mining sites to evaluate compliance with ecological norms. He emphasized the need for responsible mining practices and directed officials to ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations. Instructions were issued to enforce measures against illegal mining and implement necessary corrective actions to mitigate environmental risks. During the visit, he interacted with local residents and officials, reaffirming the administration鈥檚 commitment to addressing public concerns and expediting development projects efficiently and responsibly.
