Former chairman of Tata Sons dies in road accident

Former chairman of Tata group, Cyrus Mistry was killed in a road accident in Palghar near Mumbai on Sunday. He was 54. Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car.

The other two persons travelling with him, including the car driver, were injured. The body of Mistry has been shifted to the Kasa Rural Hospital in Gujarat for postmortem. Medical superintendent Dr Pradeep Dhodi said that Mistry and another person died of serious head injuries caused by the impact of the crash.

The doctor further said that another woman who was in the driver's seat suffered multiple fractures on the lower jaw. Her husband Darius who was seated besides also sustained fractures on the lower jaw.
