India to have 1.2 lakh km of rail lines and 1.8 lakh km of roads by 2025

In comparison to the years between 1950 and 2015, India is on track to build more trains and highways during the decade ending in 2025.

By 2025, it is predicted that all national highways would be 1.8 lakh km long, and all railway lines will be 1.2 lakh km long.

Between 1950 and 2015, just 4,000 km of brand-new national highways were built in the nation, bringing the overall length to 77,000 km in that year.

By 2025, the highway is anticipated to be 1.8 lakh km long, more than double its present length. There were just 10,000 km of rail lines in the nation's rail network in 1950; by 2015, there were 63,000 km.
