Jammu and Kashmir Highway to become an all-weather expressway soon

The Jammu & Kashmir Motorway is now being converted into an express highway by the National Highways Authority of India. This route, which connects Jammu & Kashmir with other regions of India, will be upgraded to an all-weather highway. This new development will make commuting more quicker than it is currently and reduce travel time.

When the Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kashmir in 2015, he made the announcement regarding this package as part of his work on "Naya Jammu & Kashmir." A portion of this package was allocated for the development and construction of highways in the union area.

The means of transportation to reach Kashmir from various regions of India are getting better. Improvements to the infrastructure are still being made, and passengers travelling to Kashmir by air, rail, or road will continue to enjoy smooth travel experiences. Currently, every day, almost 100 planes depart from Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport (international airport of Srinagar). The number of tourists visiting is also gradually rising. The road trip would be lot more convenient after the Jammu & Kashmir route has been converted to an expressway.
