The Noida administration has announced the land acquisition for the road connecting the Delhi-Mumbai expressway with the upcoming airport at Jewar. The link road will also head to the DND and the Faridabad-Ballabgarh bypass. On October 12, the National Highways Authority of India had directed the district administration to commence work on procuring private land chunks on its behalf. Balram Singh, an additional district magistrate (land purchase), told the media that 69.4 hectares would have to be procured for the spur road. They have got the private plots' list that would be required to build the spur road. The state government has urged us to facilitate work on the procurement process. Landowners and others have been granted 21 days to file their grievances or suggestions. The land procurement notification has been pasted on the Jewar tehsil building and printed in newspapers. After receiving feedback, the district administration will begin a survey and the measurement process. As per revenue department authorities posted in the Jewar Tehsil, only agricultural fields and barren land are being influenced by the project. The overall length of the spur road will be 31.2 km. It will be raised and go over the Yamuna. A total of 8.1 km of the extent will come in the Jewar tehsil. The land will be procured in five villages � Falauda Bangar, Karauli Bangar, Dayanatpur, and Rampur Bangar. An NHAI official told the media that the spur road had been finalised under the Bharatmala scheme and was targeted at enhancing freight movement. Arun Vir Singh, chief executive officer of the Noida International Airport Limited, told the media that a cargo terminal was being made as part of the airport project. Having a direct link to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway through Faridabad will be mutually fulfilling for all the stakeholders in the long run.
