Moscow continues to develop environmentally friendly transport, making it not only safe for the environment, but also as comfortable as possible for passengers.
Already more than 1,250 electric buses are equipped with an electric cabin heater, which helps maintain a comfortable temperature in any weather and minimise emissions into the atmosphere.
Electric buses with electric heaters significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Just replacing one diesel bus with an electric bus can reduce CO2 emissions by more than 60 tonne per year. From 2018 to 2023, 130,000 tonne of greenhouse gas emissions were avoided. Electric buses are quiet, vibration-free and operate stably even in freezing temperatures.
Modern technology makes trips comfortable:
- Electric heating guarantees warmth in the cabin without harmful emissions
- Climate control system maintains the optimum temperature
- USB and Type-C ports allow you to charge your gadgets on the road
- Media screens keep you informed about your route
In addition, in 2025, the new 鈥淜onkovo鈥 park began servicing electric buses, becoming Moscow鈥檚 12th electric bus site, which will allow even more modern vehicles to be put on the line.
鈥淢oscow鈥檚 ground transport is comfortable and the most modern. More than 1,250 electric buses with electric cabin heaters are running on the routes. Thanks to this, we have managed to reduce the environmental impact and maintain passenger comfort during trips. We develop transport with care for residents and the environment on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin,鈥 鈥 added Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
