Navi Mumbai's bus services expand across Atal Setu

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) has informed residents that they would soon have the option to utilise public transport services through the recently constructed Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) to access the financial capital.
NMMT manager Yogesh Kaduskar stated that they had outlined at least four services, with two air-conditioned electric buses set to operate across the bridge.
According to the report, during the inaugural run, Bus number 115 would transport passengers from Nerul to Mantralaya, covering the Kharkopar belt and Ulwe region.
The service, which has been air-conditioned, previously operated from Kharkopar to Mantralaya. An official mentioned in the report that, in response to residents' demands, the service would now commence from Nerul, taking the route via MTHL.
For the 52-km journey from Nerul to Mantralaya, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport has decided to maintain the fare at Rs 90.
Kaduskar clarified that there would be no fare revision, and the administration would continue to apply the existing fares for each AC bus.
However, it remains uncertain whether public transport services will be subjected to the substantial toll charges applicable to private buses or if they will receive any concessions.
Former Union Minister Milind Deora, who recently joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction, expressed excitement about the consecutive launch of multiple public transport services on the #AtalSetu. He wrote, "I've always emphasized that the real impact of infrastructure projects is felt when they benefit the average Mumbaikar. Thank you, CM @mieknathshinde Ji, for being receptive to my suggestions."
